I`ve been looking for a 4.0 rebuild manual and I can`t find one anywhere. I`ve looked on amazon, barnes n nobles, and anywhere else I could think of and I can`t find one. Does anyone know where to find one or have one they could sell or let me barrow? A buddy of mine told me there is a HP Books series that covers a 4.0 rebuild that is really good.. but like I said, I can`t find one of any brand. Thanks.

Haynes and Chilton have pretty good specs and reference. Available at all parts stores.
If you are into stokers, Pirate has good articles

i agree with steve but i found this link a few days ago its a pretty good right up on a stroker 4.5 take a look ........ click on the pages on the side and it walks ya threw what they did .........

It`s an interesting article but not what I`m looking for. I need the manual so that I can install push rods, lifters, and the head on an engine. So mostly I just need torque specs and some guidance on how to do it. It was good info though. Thanks.

Generally installing pistons, rods, push rods, lifters, etc are pretty much all the same with a non overhead cam engine like this. You might get a Haynes or Chilton (which will have torque specs, etc) and get a general engine building `how to` book for the guidance.
