Just got the word that we are goin on another trip. If you`ve seen the local news or the Army Times you know the deal. Sep 2010  That`s every year since 2005 that I`ve been in that F`N desert. This IS the last time for sure.
Guess I better get my stuff together and get on the trail before it`s too late.
Danny, you coming with me this time?

Well here`s the deal with me... I`m in 4/3 and we found out this week that we are separating from 3d ACR and going to be a part of Task Force 49 and we are supposed to be moving to 1 of 3 places. Fort Carson, Fort Lewis, or Alaska(i think its wainwright?) And from what they are telling us, no we are not scheduled to deploy with you guys, we are sposed to go afghanistan a few months or so after u guys leave. BUT, usually when stuff like this happens they give people the option to stay, and IF they will let me I am going to do my best to stay, whether its in the Regiment or not. I don`t want to go to any of those places. I like CenTex. So if you can help me get a job somewhere else in the Regiment I`m down to roll with you guys lol, I hate the Aviation Squadron, I need to be back with my Ground folks.

At least things are on the down slope over here right now. I have been over in this **** hole since April. We will actually be heading out about the same time you are coming in.

Glen, as soon as we got back (Jun 09) we had orders to go again. This will be my 4th trip since 2003. I have to get my Jeep done.
Anyone have a 4" hole saw I can use for my tail lights?

Wow, I dont know how you guys & gals do it. I`m glad you do, and damned proud of y`all. I`m easily confused so never know who is going or whose coming back. But, for those in the sand box, keep your head down and your powder dry. For those going into the sand box, train and prepare. Those of you on the way back Good Job, Thank You

The last thing I heard about 4/3 was that we`re going to be TF49 by January but there is no answer on if we are going to deploy from Hood with the rest of TF49 or move to Alaska first. From what I understand there is no chance of Carson or Lewis anymore. All the rest of TF49 is in Alaska so I don`t know why we would be any different. But I`m with Daniel.. I`m staying on Ft. Hood one way or another even if that means I have to stay in the Regiment. It gets down to -50 there! Plus they only get 4 hours of sunlight in the winter and 4 hours of darkness in the summer!
